African trio Florentin Pogba, Oussama Tannane and Nicolas Pepe were on the scoresheet as Saint-Etienne beat Angers 2-1 in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Angers were made to pay for missing a penalty early on as ASSE fought from a goal down to win 2-1 and put an end to their opponents' four-match winless streak.
Cote d'Ivoire international Pepe opened the scoring in the 18th minute for the hosts as he benefited from a cheeky back-heel from Pierrick Capelle before firing home
The young Ivorian than dribbled his way past Stephane Ruffier in Saint-Etienne’s goal, and took a shot from an acute angle to open the scoring with the help of the post.  By this time, Angers could’ve been 2-0 up, but Senegalese Famara Diedhiou missed a 12th-minute penalty.

In the second half, Guinean defender Pogba drew Les Verts level in 59th minute when he guided home a corner by Senegal midfielder Henri Saivet.
Despite the sides trading punches throughout the second half, it was Christophe Galtier’s men who came out on top as Moroccan international Tannane squeezed in a 79th-minute winner to stun the hosts after a brilliant surge and cross by Kevin Malcuit.
Both Tannane and Pogba netted their maiden strikes of the season after 12 and six appearances respectively, while Pepe scored his second in consecutive matches and his second of the season.
Malcuit received his marching orders for a second yellow card during stoppage time as Sainte hung on to earn the three points which see them climb one place to ninth in the standings.
