The All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu, may soon be announced as the winner of the Ondo governorship election, following his early lead in some local government areas as announced by INEC. The LGA results announced in favour of Akeredolu by the electoral body included those of Ile Oluji/Oke Igbo, Akoko North-East, Ifedore and Irele, but the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede, won in Ondo-East LGA.
