A two-storey building allegedly belonging to the Speaking of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Edward Ubosi collapsed on Thursday, leaving 2 construction workers with injuries.
No life was lost in the incident, and PUNCH reports that more than 20 workers were on site when it occurred.
The building is located on an estate around Nkpokiti junction at Independence Layout, Enugu.
ThisDay reports that a former member of the Enugu State House of Assembly who lives in the neighborhood said the collapsed building belongs to the Speaker, adding that Ubosi denied it.
PUNCH reports that a staff at the Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority said that the owner of the building flouted an order to stop work in all the buildings in the estate.
