Two teenagers have been found dead after being raped by suspected cultists.

Murder

The corpses of two teenage girls have been discovered in a bush in Ubie Clan, Ekpeye in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, throwing the community into confusion and panic.

The deceased identified as Miss Chipkebi Samuel, aged 15, and Miss Uwoh Nelson, aged 12, were discovered on Sunday, November 13, after being declared missing for a week.
Daily Post reports that the young girls are suspected to have been raped before they were finally strangled as there were traces of blood on their private parts.
According to the reports, search parties were mobilized by the families of the deceased to search for the girls in surrounding bushes and nearby towns.
All efforts to find the teenagers had proved abortive until their corpses were discovered by a palm fruit farmer who immediately alerted the community.
Daily Post reports that, when the remains of the girls were found, they had gags in their mouth with their handbags placed by their sides.
One of the deceased was reportedly buried following disagreements stemming from tradition, while the remains of the other girl have been deposited in a mortuary.
The police are yet to confirm the reports to Daily Post, as all efforts to reach the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Nnamdi Omoni, on phone, have proved abortive.
