Female pastor assaulted by fellow tenants for invoking Holy Ghost during prayers

A Lagos based prophetess has been assaulted by her fellow tenants because she invoked the Holy Ghost Fire while praying in her own room.

For daring to invoke the Holy Ghost Fire while praying in her room, a female pastor, Prophetess Love Sunday Akpan, has been assaulted by her fellow tenants at her compound in the Idimu area of Lagos State.

PM Express reports that after attacking her, the fellow tenants who felt she was disturbing them with her prayers, banned her from rendering such prayers in the house or they would kill her.
It was gathered that Prophetess Akpan of the New Jerusalem Healing Ministry, who used one room in her three-bedroom apartment at her 12, Ola Ogundipe Street, Banmeke, Shasha area of the state, incurred the wrath of her fellow tenants by her constant prayers.
It was gathered that the tenants were angry that such invocation was affecting their lives and warned her not say such prayers again.
Four of the tenants were reportedly arrested by the police at Area ‘M’ Command, Idimu, to explain their role that led to a threat on the life of Prophetess Akpan.
The suspects, Ebere Rafiu Balogun, Daramola Otuyelu, Mama Destiny and one Israel, were arrested a petition written by Prophetess Akpan to the Area Commander of the Command,ACP C. Akika, over the incessant threat of her life, intimidation, and harassment.
According to the woman of God, she rented the apartment where she lives with her family and was not using the place as a church but only for prayers and that whenever she prayed and mentioned ‘Holy Ghost’, her co-tenants become angry and always said they were hurt with the prayer.
She said the trouble started when some of them came to her and asked her not to say such prayer and she thought they were not serious. The victim narrated in her petition that she became worried when they started threatening and attacking her and she had to report to the police.
The police have confirmed the report and said an investigation into the matter has commenced and the suspects have been warned to maintain the peace or they would be charged to court.
